My latest book, PHP 5 E-Commerce Development, was announced last week by my publishers, Packt Publishing. The book is currently available for pre-order (with a 15% discount!) and is due to be released Jan / Feb 2010.

What it contains

This book guides the reader through creating their own PHP E-Commerce framework, with 14 chapters and 3 appendices, covering:

• Products: basic products, product variations, customer-uploads, downloadable products
• Searching: finding products, filtering results
• User experience: wish-lists, recommendations, stock notifications, ratings, reviews
• Shopping basket
• The order process, including: shipping, tax, discounts, vouchers, referrals, payment processing
• And of course: user features, administration, security, maintenance, marketing, customer retention, and web services.
